"My mom does pottery. Growing up I watched her mold clay into these incredible works of art. I tried and failed and really didn't enjoy it. I gave up on art all together until one day, like my grandfather, I picked up a camera and just started shooting. I felt such an inner peace and pride in what I could capture. I started portrait photography and steered away from couples but over the past couple of years I have found that like the clay my mom would mold, I am able to mold and create a mood, an atmosphere that is tangible and that the couples can be themselves in."
Yvette & Brandon are getting married on the beach this coming September. Naturally they wanted engagements done on the beach and took the time out of their busy schedules to come down for the weekend and enjoy Cannon Beach. Yvette\’s dress that she wore for her engagements was actually her grandmother\’s wedding dress. What an incredible gesture to be paid to her grandmother. Although not what you would typically picture in your mind as a wedding dress, this dress reflects a simpler time when quality was of the utmost importance rather than the price of the gown. This dress has withstood the test of time just as their marriage will.
