"I love photography because it fulfills me and gives me the opportunity to give people the most important gift they could ever receive. I lose track of time when I photograph people, and I hope my clients lose track of time when they view their galleries."

There are people you meet in life that you immediately know there is a spark between them. Paige was one of those people. When she contacted me about proposing to her friend Shelby, I knew right away that we would work well together. She knew she wanted something romantic, but also something adventurous that included the breathtaking landscapes of Big Sur. After talking on the phone, we decided Pfeiffer Beach would be the perfect place to propose. However, the beach had other plans that day. We practically got caught in a sand tornado with winds up to 20 miles per hour, and I had to make a quick decision to take them somewhere else. We quickly got back in the car and drove to Garrapata, where the weather was perfect and the scenery equally breathtaking. Paige had told Shelby that she had arranged a “couples photo session” for their trip to Big Sur, but Shelby had no idea that she was about to propose. Paige was incredibly and adorably nervous, and I had to signal her a few times that it was time to pop the big question. Shelby said yes, of course, and the two celebrated with a splash of champagne and a romantic dance on the cliffs overlooking the ocean. I will always remember this special proposal and these special people. They were so obviously meant for each other.
