I had this dream of photographing an adventure elopement, where the couple flies to a remote location to say “i do”… Knowing the odds were relatively slim that I would come across a couple with these plans in mind, I decided to create it myself. A plane borrowed from a family member, dried native florals and other styling elements from my own home. Even the jacket that the groom is wearing was my husbands from our own wedding. I sourced a dress from a rental company in NSW, which went above and beyond to get me the right dress in the right size by the scheduled shoot day, and everything else just fell together like a dream. The weather, the warm sunset, the couples chemistry (can you believe they aren’t actually a couple?!) … it was my vision come to life. I’m so proud of what we produced that afternoon, the only thing that could have made it better would have been if we could have actually flown the plane! haha
