"Stories. Everyone loves a good story. In my photography, I am strongly inspired by stories that focus on authentic emotions. I want to offer my clients moments and fragments of their story with strong documentation, images with well thought composition, raw and real feelings. I want to create images that symbolize their journey so far and journey yet to come. To me, love is much more than one day. It’s about the ups and downs, being so close it hurts and being so far it’s unbearable. It’s about that deep soulfulness and cinematic melancholy, it’s about the tears of joy and intimate touches."
When a couple allows me to peek into their life together, I always feel immense gratitude. When a couple tells me about their ups and downs, I tear up. These photos are so much more than photos. They are fragments of their narrative and love documented and told via my eyes. I feel so lucky my eyes were open and I had the opportunity to see this. The idea for the shoot started as I wanted to document these two ladies as they are “just us”. They are both parents and live a hectic life with three kids, dog and a cat. For them it was important to still remember each other as life partners. I wanted the shoot to not only combine elements of photography I adore, but also truly highlight the intimate and unique love these two shared.
