"You know that feeling when you are in the middle of one of the best times of your life and you so badly wish you could freeze time and live in that moment forever? Photography grants that wish for us. Though our memories will inevitable fade, photography is a way to capture those perfect moments and preserve them permanently."
The whites and blues of the Bonneville Salt Flats inspired this shoot as I wanted to bring an urban-contrast with the outfit choices. This location genuinely feels like you are exploring another planet, so I wanted to bring some of that in by incorporating a few prompts to provide photos that look like the couple is defying gravity. This was the first session that made me realize how much a location can influence creativity. So many, may I say, “bland” ideas that I had brought into the session vanished once I stepped foot onto the Salt Flats, and a burst of creativity flooded my mind. Never be afraid to let the vibe of a location guide your session!
