We have planned a casual van photo shoot with Mira and Guille because the van life has a special meaning for us and we love to photograph couples who have the same interests as we do. Just before the shoot we asked them to bring their boards as well. We didn’t know at that time that these great and natural shots would come out of it. When we met them at the beautiful mountain lake, we soon realized that they really love to cruise around with their boards and that we really want to capture that happiness. And so it happened that they skate up and down in front of our cameras and we all had a lot of fun. The cozy campfire at the end made the session perfect and we got to know their quiet and romantic side at the same time. The feeling to know that you can’t plan everything in detail for a photo session was confirmed to us again that evening. You cannot plan or imitate emotions and natural shots. They just happen.
